About me.....

You honor me by just clicking this to read a small bit of information trying to represent my craziness, imperfections and nature.

Since you did.....

Wait.....it's not to late to click the backwards arrow.....

No?  Okay!  Don't say I did not give you that chance!

Born to two wonderful parents who soon put on Christ in baptism and began to raise me in the "nuture and admonition of the Lord."  Fast forward through about two decades where in that time I grew up, read like a maniac, did decently well in school and most importantly formed a relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ on my own.

Along about the time I turned 16, a young man whose family had went to church with mine in previous years but had moved to another town about forty minutes away, came for a visit.  When I caught sight of him all those years (you know like four, but at that time it was a really long time!) my heart skipped a beat.  I married that young man in 1999 and have been living the blessing of that choice ever since!

After I married, I attended The Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) and graduated in 2003 with a BA in Humanities focusing in English.  At this point, I will reveal that I am a total nerd.  I believe every household should own the Bible and a copy of The Complete Works of Shakespeare.  I find almost no greater joy than that of an unfolding brilliant story.

In 2004, after a struggle with what would later be diagnosed as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) I gave birth to my first premie, a boy and then in 2008 a premie girl followed.  Since then I have rode a roller coaster of one day feeling I am on top of the world for how blessed I am to have these little people to the next day being totally overwhelmed at the thought that no matter how hard I wage war against Satan that he will continue his attacks on them.  Fortunate for me I serve a greater God who has already crushed Satan in defeat.

As a family we enjoy sports, movie nights and ice cream.  Individually, I am still a reader but I have added cooking, writing and many other little interests and hobbies that I use as excuses to not clean my house!  We homeschool our children and love using Classical Conversations' resources and communities to aid in that journey.  Ask me about it and I will be happy to tell you all about it.  Really, I will.....more than you ever wanted to know!

I have flaws.....shocking, I know!

I am easily overwhelmed!

I am slightly compulsive!  Really just a little bit!  Not much at all!

I get angry when hurt and do not want to be touched or talked to.  In fact, I am just plain old mean when hurt.

I fight laziness everyday.  So if you think me lazy, I am sorry!  I am cognizant of it and am working on it.  If you don't think me lazy, than if you ever see me being such, hold me accountable!

I tend to be a "glass half empty" type of person toward myself.  But your glass to me is always half full and I would love to show you how!

Oh....one more that most seem to find absolutely shocking!

I hate the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie.  Because of it I have never touched the book.  There is just something wrong with a grown man inviting children to a factory.  It creeps me out!  So, I apologize a head of time as I know this will probably loose me half of my readers........but......it's best you know what you are dealing with up front.

I reside in Memphis currently and am navigating the waters of the south being a Yankee fish out of water.

I may just have added a smidgen and a pinch too much here.....

but.....Welcome!
